HOT INSERT MACHINES

Sims engineering systems ltd have extensive experience in hot insert machines. As we are not tied to any one inserting technology we would not build a machine of this type unless we were sure it proved the best solution for your application.

This process involves first heating the metal inserts then inserting them in the plastic and allowing to cool. As with any inserting process the design of the insert and the hole into which it must fit is critical and we can advise on the best design for this.

The machine in the picture is used to hot insert 5 brass inserts into a plastic electrical outlet molding and fit 4 off plastic plugs. This particular machine is 12 years old and is still running for 2 x 8 hr shifts a day (it used to run 24 hours a day up to recently)
