Heat peening involves a hot metal former that will soften then move the plastic to a new shape. Not all plastics lend
themselves to this process as the temperature of the peen is usually quite critical.
in the picture below we are welding a steel mesh to a plastic cowl (something that other builders felt could not be
done) this particular customer now has three of this type of machine (one of which also incorporates robotic ultrasonic welding heads)
